Last Saturday, October 1, A3 Performance and Darian Townsend gave back to the swimming community with a free swim clinic for children from low-income families. Dolphins of the Desert Swim Academy and Greeley Transitional House hosted a free swim clinic at the University of Northern Colorado and A3 Performance is blessed to have been a part of it. The children who attended the clinic are living below the poverty line and do not have many opportunities to learn to swim or to even get in the water. Our own A3 athlete Darian Townsend worked alongside Olympian B.J. Bedford Miller and the University of Northern Colorado's women's swim team for a 30-minute lesson on basic water skills, the importance of learning to swim, and its lifelong benefits. A3 Performance was happy to donate all of the participants' goggles and swim suits for the day.

Darian Townsend and Friend

The day was an absolute success! After the instruction part of the day, kids had the chance to meet Darian, get his autograph, and take pictures with him and his Olympic Gold Medal. How very exciting it was to see the smiles and positive energy following this swim clinic. Thank you again to Greeley Transitional House and Dolphins of the Desert Swim Academy for putting on this wonderful clinic and for allowing A3 Performance to be a part of it.
