Whenever we see swimmers standing on the Olympic podium, we tend to focus on the countless hours they spent training, the elite level coaches they’ve worked with, and the career arc that led them there. But long before any of these athletes were competing in high-stakes races, they were little kids putting on goggles for the first time, about to take their first plunge into the pool.

The Power of a Positive First Swim

Since we first started A3 Performance, we’ve understood the importance of these early swim moments. While A3 is known for outfitting some of the world's top-performing swimmers, we also prioritize making swim suits and gear for kids that are just starting out in the sport. With fun, colorful prints and comfortable kid-friendly goggle designs, we want to make sure that every child has positive early experiences in the pool. Because swimming isn’t always about PRs and Olympic medals – it’s also supposed to be fun!

Expanding Access to Swim Education

That’s also why we’ve always made a commitment to providing more access to swim education for children and young adults – regardless of their financial resources. In addition to partnering with organizations like USSSA and No More Under, we’re proud to announce that we’re starting our own foundation, Swim Life. This foundation’s mission is to provide swim lessons for those who otherwise could not afford them. Through this work, it’s our hope that the swim community will grow to become safer, stronger, and more inclusive.

For us, providing access to early swim education allows us to be more than just another swim vendor. We hope to play a role in shaping the future of the sport by building confidence, resilience, and a love for the sport in young swimmers everywhere.
